2011

Last year the Lindfield Arts Festival attracted over 3,000 visitors as well as 120 individual artists, musicians and creative professionals. More than 375 people attended the wide range of workshops and performances over the weekend.

Speaking at the launch of the 2011 Festival, Lynn Tulip said: “We want to maintain the original vision and ensure that the festival becomes an annual family event in the Lindfield calendar, celebrating local arts, raising funds for charity and ensuring Lindfield becomes a centre for the arts within Mid-Sussex. Our objective continues to be to add a cultural component to our flourishing, active, modern community in Lindfield, famed for its rich historical and architectural heritage and our aim is to create a vibrant event that adds to the community’s well-being, fun and enjoyment.”

Highlights of the 2011 Festival included:

  • Shakespeare & Co (Yellowtale Theatre Company)
  • Talk from best-selling author Peter James
  • Classic Car Festival
  • Graffitti Action workshop (Can Control)
  • Zumba World Record Attempt
  • Circus performer Lula Loop
  • Fashion Show
  • Music from Rok Skool, Blues Business and David Henschel

In 2011 The Lindfield Arts Festival were also proud support local charity, Chestnut Tree House.

The only children's hospice in Sussex to provide specialist
palliative care to children and young adults.

2010

In May 2010 Leesa LeMay and Claire Fuller brought together a team of volunteers who liaised with local artists, schools and venues to put on a major two-day event. Lindfield held its first ever Arts Festival. 

The festival had a number of objectives:
•    Celebrating local arts
•    Raising funds for charity
•    Establishing Lindfield as a centre for the arts in Mid-Sussex
